Don't Be Afraid to Share

Good morning! Today I am still in John 9:13-34. The Pharisees and the religious leaders questioned the man that Jesus had healed of blindness over and over again, but they still did not believe him. They even brought his parents in for questioning, and they still wouldn't believe him. The man explained to them the best he could about what Jesus had done, and that he did believe he was sent from God and why. He was not afraid of what the Pharisees and religious leaders thought or what they would do to him. He just knew his life had been changed completely and miraculously, and that nothing and no one but God could have done it.

The man was not afraid to explain why he believed. He had enough evidence in him, and what Jesus had done for him, to prove that Jesus was from God. When God comes in to our lives and we choose to start following Him, He changes our lives. Sometimes just as radically as this man here. God does not want us to be afraid to share our faith with people. When we are changed like this, it is extremely noticeable to people, especially the ones that knew us before God changed us. When people notice the change in us, we must be ready to answer them with why and how it happened. That is our testimony, and it is a very powerful tool we have to help other people encounter God in their own lives. We must not be afraid to share our faith. That is how God uses us here on earth to share His love with the people we come in contact with. He doesn't want us to hide our faith. Be bold, and stand strong in the faith that you have. He will give you the boldness to share. He will even give you the right words at the right time. We don't have to have all the answers, but we do have to be able to explain why we chose to turn to God.

You are the only one that can share your personal story of how God met you right where you are. And that testimony, can change so many people's lives. Don't be afraid to share. God can use your story in mighty ways. There are several ways we know when it is time to share our story with someone. One way is when they ask. When they ask you personally, what happened, God is asking you to share, and He will help you in that moment. Another way is when you are talking to someone and they are sharing something deeply personal with you, something they are struggling with. Something you personally have dealt with in your past and God helped you overcome in your life. God is inviting you to share your story in that moment and how He helped you overcome the issue. Don't be afraid. God is inviting you to join Him in helping someone. Trust Him and allow Him to guide you. He will.
