Growing Together

9:40 am

Good morning! Today I am in Matthew 13:24-30. Jesus goes on to tell the crowd around Him that the Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted wheat in his field. While the farmer was asleep, his enemy came in and planted weeds among the wheat and left. When the farmer's workers saw the weeds coming up, they told the farmer and asked him where the weeds came from and if they should pull the weeds up. The farmer told them that his enemy did this, but no they should not pull them up because they might pull up the good wheat as well. So he told them to let them grow together, then at harvest they would separate the wheat from the weeds. Then the weeds would be burned and the wheat stored in his barns.

The wheat represents believers and the weeds represent unbelievers. As we grow up, we either turn into believers or unbelievers, we grow together. When we are adults, is when we find out who the believers and unbelievers are. The things that happen to us, the things we go through, changes everyone of us. God gives us all a chance to grow. Giving us a chance to choose Him or the enemy. The enemy is also constantly trying to win us to him, coming in and trying to get us to believe that his ways are better than Gods. But the enemy's ways lead us to hell. Where as God's ways lead us to eternity with Him. But He allows us to grow, and to make that choice for ourselves. When we face judgment, at the end of our lives, God will separate the believers from the unbelievers.

Have you allowed the enemy to talk you into following him? The enemy is so sneaky. He comes in when we least expect it, or when our guard is down, and speaks lies to us, just like the enemy of the farmer came in and sowed weeds in the field. The world is also trying to convince us that the enemy's ways are better. But as we choose God, and start spending time with Him, He helps us see how the enemy has lied to us. He shows us what happens if we choose the enemy over Him. God gives everyone of us a chance to choose Him. It is up to us. God does not want anyone to go to hell, so He sent His Son to save everyone of us. He wants us to choose Him and spend eternity with Him in heaven. But it is ultimately up to us. Choose Him today. Allow Him to save your life.
