Good morning! Today I am still in Luke 10:1-16. As Jesus was encouraging the disciples to go into the towns, He told them to bless the houses they stayed in, and not move from house to house while they were in the town. Eating in drinking whatever was placed in front of them. And for them not to hesitate to accept hospitality because those who work deserve their pay.
God was going to provide all they needed on their journey, they did not have to worry about anything, but to do the work God had called them to. God was going to provide what the disciples needed through the people in the towns they were helping. He wanted them to accept that hospitality. They were there to help the people in the towns and the people in turn were going to provide for them.
God wants to use other people to bless us. Sometimes when we step out to do something for God, we may not want to accept anyone's help or feel like we shouldn't accept someones gift they are trying to give us. But God blesses us through other people, and He wants us to accept the gifts He blesses us with. That does not mean we can take advantage of people, or that we have to beg for what we need. God will provide when we trust Him. If someone is trying to bless you, God has put it in their hearts to do that for you. Accept it and be thankful. That is a way that God blesses His people to continue the work He has called them to.
We too are to give as God puts it in our hearts to give. If you see a mission that you think is amazing and you want them to continue on with their good work, don't hesitate to give to it. God will bless you as you bless other people. Everything you do to help others builds the Kingdom of God. And there are so many missions that God has created through people that need funding. So don't hesitate to give. Do research on the mission you are giving to first, asking God if it is something you should support. He will guide you in that. God wants to use you to bless others, but He also wants to use others to bless you. So don't hesitate to accept hospitality and don't be afraid to give because that is God at work.
