Jesus is the Only Way

Good morning! Today I am in Matthew 7:13-14. Jesus tells us that there is only one gateway into God's Kingdom. The road to it is very narrow and difficult, and only a few will ever find it. But the road to hell is wide, and many will choose it.

Jesus is the only way to heaven. He is the only way because He alone died for our sins and made us right before God. It is not hard to choose to believe Jesus, but it is hard to follow Him because this world is constantly trying to pull us away from Him. Jesus tells us that Satan is the ruler of this world (John 12:31) and that he is the father of lies (John 8:44), and if we love this world and the things of it, we are ultimately choosing hell (1 John 2:15-17). We must not allow the enemy to distract us from Jesus. Jesus wants us to choose Him so we can be free to live in eternity with Him (John 8:31-47). The more we spend time with God, the more He strengthens us to walk in His ways. Showing us other options, that are good and pleasing to Him, when the enemy tries to entice us into sinning.

Have you chosen Jesus or have you allowed the world to distract you? It is very easy to allow the world to distract us from Jesus. The enemy knows exactly what he can use to keep us from choosing Jesus. Don't allow the enemy to keep you from turning to Jesus. If you feel like you have allowed the enemy to turn you away from Jesus, ask God to reset your focus. He will help you if you truly want it. What He has for us is so much better than what this world could ever offer. Don't allow the enemy to lie to you and make you think otherwise. If you are not sure about that, read the New Testament, and God will show you how much He loves you.
