Good morning! Today I am in Mark 8:22-26. When Jesus and His disciples arrive at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Him and begged Jesus to heal him. Jesus took the man by the hand and led him out of the village away from the people. Jesus spit in his eyes and laid His hands on him, and asked him if he could see anything now? The man told Jesus yes, he could see people but they were blurry, and looked like trees walking around. Then Jesus placed His hands on the man's eyes again, and the man's eyes were opened, and his sight was completely restored. Jesus told the man not to go back into the village on his way home.
We see here that Jesus did not heal the man instantly like He healed some people. On this man He worked in stages. I love how He opened the man's eyes. When we start looking for Jesus, He meets us with open arms, like the prodigal son when he goes home to his father. He meets us and He starts opening our eyes to Him. The more we seek Him and chose to spend time with Him, the more He opens our eyes and restores souls. Like this man, many times it is not an instant thing. Most of the time Jesus works in stages in our lives. Opening our eyes, hearts, and minds to more and more, a little at a time. Restoring us a little at a time. At every stage in our journey with Him, He shows us something new, most of the time something new we need to work on. But God helps us with that. It is a process. Trust the process because God has it all under control.
Have you allowed God to start restoring your heart? If not, and you want Him to, all you have to do is ask and you will receive. Seek Him sincerely with your whole heart, and allow Him to restore your life. He can if you want it.
