Jesus' True Family

5:47 pm

Good afternoon! Today I am in Matthew 12:46-50, Mark 3:31-35, and Luke 8:19-21. These three gospels tell us that as Jesus was speaking to the crowd, His mother and brothers were outside wanting to talk to Him. Jesus asks them, "Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?" Then He tells them that His family is anyone who does the will of His Father in heaven, or all who hear God's Word and obey it.

Jesus' true family is anyone who obeys God. No matter what your earthly family looks like, if you have chosen to accept Jesus, and obey His Father, you are part of His family forever. He adopts us into His family (Ephesians 1:5). We are children of the Most High (Galatians 3:26). Our heavenly Father is not like earthly fathers, He is far better than that. He tells us all through His Word how much He loves us and cares for us. Telling us that He will never abandon us (Deuteronomy 31:8). That He will always be there for us no matter what we are going through. But in order for that to happen, you have to accept His One and Only Son, Jesus, and obey His commands that He gives us.

Are you part of Jesus' true family? If you have accepted Jesus into your life you are. Don't allow the enemy to make you think otherwise, because he will try to make you doubt. But don't believe it. If you have accepted Jesus into your life, nothing can separate you from your heavenly Father. But if you have not accepted Jesus, you are not part of His true family, there is still time for you though. If you are still alive, God has given you time to come to Him. The sooner you choose Him, the sooner He can set you free of the things that burden you, the sins in your life. Choose Him today, and allow Him to make you a part of His true family.
