Not Just a Healer

Good morning! Today I am in Matthew 14:34-36 and Mark 6:53-56. Once Jesus and the disciples made it across the lake, people recognized Him. News spread quickly that He was there, and people started coming from nearby towns, bringing their sick to be healed. Wherever Jesus went the people followed with their sick. They begged Jesus to at least let the sick touch the fringe of His robe. Everyone who touched Him was healed.

The people flocked to Jesus for healing. But many of them missed the real reason He was there. He wasn't just there to heal the physically ill, He was there to offer them eternal life. Yes Jesus can heal the sick, but He ultimately wants to offer us something better, eternal life that can only be found with Him. Everything in this life will eventually pass away, including us, but we have an eternity in heaven to look forward to, but we must seek Him while we are alive on earth. And help other people come to know Him as well.

Have you allowed Jesus to heal you spiritually? In order to be healed spiritually and have that eternal hope in Him, we must seek Him while we are alive. Seeking Him, and allowing Him room in our lives to move. Allowing Him to guide us on the right paths. And allowing Him to use us to help others. When we begin to seek Him daily, He begins healing our hearts and minds. Making us new creations in Him. Allow Him to heal you today.
