Good morning! Today I am in Mark 4:26-29. Jesus tells the people that the Kingdom of God is like a farmer who plants seeds on the ground. Day and night the seeds grow and sprout, but the farmer does not know how it happens. First a leaf appears, the the heads of wheat are formed, and finally it ripens. And the farmer goes and harvests it.
God sends people to share His Word with us, throughout our lives. His Word that is shared, is a seed that is planted in our hearts. We may not even notice it at first, but sooner or later, it sprouts, coming up into our mind, especially when we are going through something. We may have forgot about it as we went on with our lives, but it was still in there. And at just the right time, God reminds us of what we were told. Like the farmer doesn't understand how it happens, we may not ever understand how God's Word stays in our hearts and grows, but it does.
God wants us to be the farmers in this world. Going out to wherever He puts us, and sharing His Word. When we have the courage to do this, He goes with us, and He helps us know what to say at the right time. When we share His Word with others, we are planting seeds in their hearts that will help them at the right time. We may not ever see that seed sprout in their lives, but God sees. And He knows when that person is going to need it the most.
Are you planting seeds? God wants us to share Him with the people around us. Sharing His love. Don't be afraid to share God's love with those around you. We all need to know how much God loves us and is there for us. The world needs it, so don't be afraid.
