Who Do You Believe Jesus is

Good morning! Happy Valentines Day! Whether you celebrate Valentines day or not, it is a great day to reflect on the love of God. Celebrating the One who is love and who first loved us. Loving us so much He sent His only Son to save us. That is love. So as you go through your day today, don't forget how much God loves you.

Today I am in Matthew 14:1-2, Mark 6:14-16, and Luke 9:7-9. After Herod beheaded John the Baptist, he began hearing stories about Jesus and all the miracles He was doing. Herod began questioning who Jesus was, and wanted to see him. Everyone was saying that He was John the Baptist raised from the dead, or Elijah the prophet, or one of the other prophets raised from the dead. They did not believe He was actually the Son of God.

Just like the people back then were questioning who Jesus was, we too have the same questions. All of us at some point question who Jesus is. We all have to decide for ourselves who we believe He is. Who do you believe Jesus is and do you receive Him as your Lord and Savior? We don't have Jesus in bodily form with us today like they did back then, but Jesus sent His Holy Spirit. If you believe in Jesus and receive Him as your Lord and Savior, He gives you His Holy Spirit to dwell within you. He dwells within us to comfort us, to guide us, to teach us, to be our advocate, and He will never leave us (John 14:15-27). We also have the Bible that gives us first hand accounts of what Jesus did while on earth, and everything that happened after. The Bible witnesses about Him. So we today have more evidence to help us make a decision. But we have to make a decision. And if we choose Him, we have to start walking in that truth, and allowing Him to help us walk in His ways. Choose to believe Him. And allow Him room in your life today.
