Give Glory Back to the Father

Good morning! Today I am in John 17:1-5. After Jesus told all these things to His disciples, He looked up to heaven and prayed to His Father. He said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son so He can give glory back to You. For You have given Him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given Him." Then He says that the way to eternal life is to know the Father, the only true God, and Him, the one the Father sent to earth. He says that He has brought glory to the Father while He was on earth by completing the work He gave Him to do. So He asks the Father to bring Him into the glory they shared before the world began.

The time had come for Jesus to be taken, but while He still had time, He prayed to His Father in heaven. Asking His Father to glorify Him so He could give the glory back to the Father. And He states that He brought glory to the Father while on earth by completing the task that His Father had given Him. And He also reassures us here of our salvation, which is by knowing the Father and Him.

Jesus gave His life for us. In doing so He gave us a way to have a personal relationship with Him and our Father. And He did this to glorify His Father. His Father, Our heavenly Father, loves us so much that He sent His Son, so He could have a relationship with each of us. Jesus calls each one of us to Him, and when we step out and start believing and trusting God, we bring glory to Him. Because the more we get to know Him, the more we want to share Him with the world. And whenever we work for God, it makes Him happy and brings Him glory because we show those around us what He has done for us. And one day, when our time has come to an end, we have assurance that we will spend eternity with Him. But this assurance only comes from knowing God and His Son, believing and accepting them, and spending time with them. Whatever we do here on earth, that is for the good, give the glory back to God. If someone thanks you and praises you for something you did, point them to God. Sharing with them that you couldn't do anything without God. Give Him back the glory because He is the only one that deserves it. We are nothing without Him. He deserves all the glory!
