Jesus Knows What You Need

Good morning! Today I am in John 21:1-14. Later on, several of the disciples were down at the Sea of Galilee. Peter told the others that he was going to go fishing. The others said they would go too. So they got in a boat and fished all night, but they didn't catch anything. At dawn, Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn't see who it was. Jesus called out to them, "Fellows, have you caught any fish?" They told Him no. Jesus told them to throw their net out on the right hand side of the boat and they would get some. So they did, and they had so many fish they couldn't haul in the net. John told Peter that it was the Lord on the shore. When Peter heard that, he put on his tunic, jumped in the water, and headed to shore. The others stayed in the boat and pulled the loaded net on to the shore. When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them. Jesus told them to bring some of their fish over. So Peter went aboard and help the others drag the net to shore. They had caught 153 large fish, and the net never tore. Jesus told them to come and have some breakfast. None of the disciples dared to ask who He was because they knew it was Jesus. Jesus served them the bread and the fish. This was the third time Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection.

Jesus knew where His disciples where and what they were doing. And He went to the shore where they were. He knew they had not caught any fish so He told them what to do to fill their nets up. And after they got done filling their nets, He was waiting on the shore for them with food. The disciples were tired and hungry from a long night of catching nothing, and Jesus supplied them with fish and food. Just like Jesus knew where His disciples were and what they were doing, He knows where we are, what we are doing, and what we need at the time. He sees us. He knows what we need, exactly when we need it. And He is there waiting for us. He is waiting for us to realize He is right there with what we need. Like these disciples, we tend to go our own way, doing things in our own strength, and not paying any attention to Jesus. We wear ourselves out and stress ourselves out, feeling like we are getting no where, but Jesus is right there waiting for us to turn to Him. Waiting for us to come to Him to supply us with what we need. We don't have to wear ourselves out, we just have to turn to Him for guidance. And He will be right there for us every time, any time.
