Lost Sheep

Good morning! Today I am in Matthew 18:12-14. Jesus tells His disciples that if a shepherd has 100 sheep and one were to get lost, the shepherd would leave the 99 to go find the one lost. And when he found it, he would rejoice over it more than the other 99 that didn't wander away. He tells them that in the same way, it is not His Father's will that even one little one should perish.

I love this! God is such a good Father! He cares for everyone of His children! He cares so much for us that He searches for us. And when He finds us, even when we are stuck in the middle of sin, He rejoices. He looks for us when we have wandered away from Him, usually seeking the worldly pleasures that the enemy tempts us with. When we take our eyes off God, and start looking to this world for answers and support, we wander away from our heavenly Father. But He does not give up on us. He is steadily looking for us. Sending His people to help us come back to Him. Even when we are on our death bed, He still reaches out to us. But when we do pass away, it will be too late. We must accept Him now, turn to Him now, while we are still alive and breathing. Whenever we do He rejoices as well as all of heaven. And as believers, we are to help guide people to God. Especially children. God loves children. We must live in a way that points people to God. We are to be living examples of the goodness of God. He can help us do that. Allow God to guide you back to Him. No matter what sin you have committed, God is still calling you.
