Good morning! Today I am in Luke 18:1-8. One day Jesus told His disciples a story about a widow that kept going to the judge pleading for justice in a dispute with her enemy. The judge neither feared God nor cared about the people. But the woman repeatedly went to him. One day, he finally said that he would see to it that she got justice in the matter because she was driving him crazy. Wearing him out with her constant request. Jesus told his disciples that even this unjust judge rendered a just decision in the end. How much so will God give justice to His chosen people who cry out to Him day and night? He will grant justice to them quickly. But Jesus asks them, "But when the Son of Man returns, how many will He find on the earth who have faith?"
The widow persisted on going before the judge, pleading for justice. She would not give up. Jesus is telling us that we should never stop praying, never give up. Constant prayer means keeping our requests continually before God as we live for Him day by day, believing He will answer. God may not answer us in the time that we want Him to, but eventually He will when the time is right. His timing is perfect. He sees all and knows all, and He knows what we need more than what we do, but He still wants us to continue to come to Him with all we need. Keep praying and know that your Father hears you, and He will answer when the time is right. Keep praying, keep believing and trusting. Have faith that your Father has everything under control. As we persist in prayer, we grow in character, faith, and hope.
