Nothing Can Stop Jesus

Good morning! Today I am in Matthew 27:62-66. On the Sabbath, the next day, the Pharisees went to Pilate and asked him to send soldiers to seal the tomb, Jesus had been laid in, to prevent His disciples from coming and stealing His body and telling everyone He had raised from the dead. Telling Pilate that they remembered what Jesus (they called Him deceiver) said about rising from the dead after 3 days. They told Pilate that if that happened, they would be worse off than they were before the crucifixion. So Pilate agreed, and sent guards to secure it the best they could and stand guard to protect it.

The Pharisees took Jesus' statement about rising from the dead more seriously than the disciples did. So they tried to secure it the best they could, to prevent it from happening. But they didn't realize nothing would stop Jesus. Jesus had told everyone what was about to happen, but they didn't believe Him. They would soon find out though.

One stone would not keep Jesus from rising again. Nothing will stop Jesus from doing what He said He would do. He will come back. He rose from the grave already, and He will come back again for His people. We are to be ready for when He does come back for us. Be ready by spending time in His Word and praying, speaking to Him, getting to know Him and His Word more and more. The more time you spend with Him, the more prepared you will be when the time comes for God to call you home. You never know when that time will be.
