4:55 am

Good morning! Today I am in Matthew 25:17-19, Mark 14:12-16, and Luke 22:7-13. On the first day of Passover, Jesus sent Peter and John into Jerusalem to prepare the Passover meal for them. They asked Jesus where they were to prepare at. Jesus told them that they would see a man, when they went into Jerusalem, carrying a pitcher of water. They were to follow him to his house, and when they got there, they were to ask the owner of the house where his guest room was. Telling the man that their Teacher says, "My time has come, and I will eat the Passover meal with my disciples at your house. (Matthew 25:18)" Jesus tells them that the man would have a large guest room, already set up. The two disciples went into Jerusalem and found everything just as Jesus told them they would, and they prepared the meal.

Jesus knew His time had come, and He knew there was going to be a room already prepared for the Passover meal. The disciples had seen this happen over and over again with Jesus, how He already knew what was going to happen. Jesus is Lord, He knows everything. He knows what has been done already, and what will be done. This Passover meal was going to be the very last meal that Jesus spent with His disciples, and He knew that. So He sent Peter and John to prepare the last meal. This last meal was going to be on the first day of the Passover Festival. This Festival was to remember when God told the Israelites to kill a lamb and paint its blood on the door frames of their houses. Jesus was about to be handed over as the lamb for us all, and He was preparing His disciples at this last meal. Just like He prepares us. When we accept Him into our lives, believing who He said He was and repenting of our sins, His blood covers us, just like the slain lamb they used during the Passover. When we accept Him, He starts preparing us, preparing our hearts for Him and His work. He prepares, covers us, and dwells within us. He knows our hearts. He knows everything about us. We don't have to be afraid because He comes in and cleanses us. But we must continue to walk with Him, so He will keep cleansing us and sanctifying us. Keep walking with Him so there is no room for the enemy to have a foot hold in our lives. It is a daily walk and cleansing. A daily preparation. Getting ready and being ready for what God has in store for us.
