No One Can Stop God's Plans

Good evening! I hope you have had a good day! It has been a good day for me, the weather was nice, though I wasn't outside but briefly.

Today, I was in Matthew 2:13-18. The wise men just left Mary and Joseph's house. While Joseph was asleep, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph telling him to get up and flee to Egypt with Mary and Jesus, and to stay there until the Lord tells them to. For King Herod was looking for Jesus to kill Him. So that night they left for Egypt , and stayed there until King Herod's death. This fulfilled a prophecy from Hosea 11:1, that said that the Lord called His Son out of Egypt. Herod was furious when the wise men did not return to him, so he sent soldiers out to kill all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and younger. This fulfilled the prophecy from Jeremiah 31:15, that a loud cry was heard from Ramah, that Rachael weeps for her children and refuses to be comforted.

Again, an angel of the Lord appears to Joseph and tells him to do something, and immediately he obeys. I'm sure he sensed the urgency of obeying this time because in my Bible it looks like the angel yelled to wake him up because their lives were in danger. King Herod was appointed to be the king, but learning of the newborn King of the Jews put him on the defense. He did not want the new King to one day take his throne, so he set out to kill Him before He had a chance. But as we see here, God had other plans.

God, being who He is, has the power to stop whatever is coming against Him. If God has a plan, no one or nothing can come against it. God has a plan for each and everyone of us, that the enemy cannot stop. We can't even mess up His plans. We see that with Jesus' death on the cross, God defeated the enemy by sacrificing His only Son for us. We don't have to be afraid of anything that the enemy throws at us because the Lord is with us to help us and guide us, just like He guided Joseph. We have to remain receptive to His guidance by staying in His Word and praying. The more we do the more we can understand what the Lord is trying to say to us.

Have you ever thought that you may have messed up the plan God had for your life? Maybe thinking you made the wrong decision? Everyone one of us fight that thought at some point. The enemy likes to make us think that, but remember that the enemy is the ultimate liar and deceiver. He wants to make you think that so you won't turn to God. So you won't ask God for guidance. Break those thoughts from the enemy by reminding yourself who you are to God. That you are Important, and that He has a plan for you that nothing or no one can change. God loves you and wants you to know that He still has good plans for you. Trust Him.
