Good morning! Today I am in Galatians 6:11-18. Paul finishes this letter to the Galatians by telling them that those who are trying to force them to be circumcised want to look good to others. They don't want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Christ alone can save. And they don't even keep the whole law themselves. They only want them to be circumcised so they can boast about it and claim them as their disciples. He tells them that he never boasts about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, he tells us that his interests in this world have been crucified and the world's interest in him has also died. It does not matter if we have been circumcised or not, what counts is that we are transformed into new creations. He tells them not to trouble him any more with these things, for his body bears the scars that show he belongs to Jesus. Then he blesses them by saying, "May God's peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are new people of God. And may the grace of Jesus Christ be with your Spirit."

God does not care if we are circumcised or not, because none of us can follow all the laws perfectly. The circumcision He cares about is our hearts being circumcised from this world. Circumcising the love for this world from us, which is just a separation. Just like Paul, we need to crucify our interest in this world, and focus on God and what He wants us to focus on. The more we focus on Him, the more we stop trying to live up to what the world wants. We start living the life that God has for us. The more we spend time with Him the more He changes us from the inside out. He does not want us getting caught up in trying to be perfect. What matters is our faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Putting our hope and trust in Him, and allowing Him to change us from the inside out. Walking with God and in His ways helps us stay on the right path, a path that is for our good and not to harm us. A path full of love, joy, and peace. That's what God has for us. A life of eternal love and peace with Him.
