5 am

Good morning! This morning I am in Matthew 8:14-17, Mark 1:29-34, and Luke 4:38-41. These are all parallel. They say almost the same thing, but there are a few differences. I am not going to go into all the differences. I am just going to paraphrase what they say into one section. I do strongly suggest looking up the Scriptures I list everyday, so you can read them for yourself, and allow God to speak to you through them for yourself. What I post daily, is what God is showing me for the day. But He speaks to us all differently. He highlights different things to each of us, depending on what we are going through at the time, or what we have been through. That is how God's Word is alive and breathing for us today. So you may get something completely different from what I get, and that is okay. It is very important for everyone of us to read God's Words for ourselves, and make sure we put what we are hearing from other people up against God's Word, so we are not deceived. Because the enemy knows God's Word, he knows how to twist it, and make you doubt God, or make you think something is okay, when God clearly tells us in His Word that something is not okay. So with every person you listen to about God's Word, make sure they are speaking God's truth. Even with what I post. It is very important.

In these Scriptures, Jesus and His disciples have left the synagogue where Jesus was teaching, and they head to Simon's home. There his mother-in-law is sick with a high fever. They ask Him to heal her. Jesus goes in and puts His hand on her, and the fever leaves her. (All 3 gospels explain it differently.) As soon as the fever left her, she gets up and fixes them a meal. As the sun began to set, people throughout the village brought sick and demon possessed people to Jesus to be healed. He healed all of them with His touch, and cast out the demons. The demons recognized who Jesus was, and they would shout at Jesus, "You are the Son of God! (Luke 4:41)" But Jesus refused to let them speak. Like I said, if you look at all 3 gospels, they talk about the same things, but with slightly different perspectives. Each pointing out different things.

Jesus healed and cast out demons by just His touch. He touched each person. Meeting them face-to-face. Right where they were. In the midst of their problems, whatever they were. Jesus meets us right where we are. No matter what we are struggling with at the time, He meets us there. He stands with us, and touches us. He didn't even have to speak. He just touched them. When you seek Him, He will answer you. He will meet you where you are and touch you. He is not afraid of anything you are dealing with. All through His ministry, we see how He even touched people that were considered unclean: the woman with the issue of blood, lepers, the dead. He touched everyone who needed Him.

How can Jesus' touch help you today? Nothing is too bad for Him. If you need Him, all you have to do is reach out for Him. He will embrace you in His loving arms and help you. Allow Him to touch you today.
